Prelude 02:20
It’s so still tonight But I feel the rush so far ahead of me I can’t wait to see What’s waiting when I’ll come around when I’ll come around
2.
Still Life 04:19
It’s so strange In this place and timeeeee you and I feel a constant thing in our livesssss But I don’t know When the moment's rightttttt But when we see each other we might feel the same way In a still life Could be a chance tonight To really know something That's rare to find I find it hard to keep memories alive If only I could Stay present in this life I only would Stay up with you all night But when we see each other we might feel the same way In a still life Could be a chance tonight To really know something That's rare to find
3.
Scenery 03:18
Everyone suspicious of me Feels like I walked into a scene Where I’m pushed out into the street* By a crowd of tangled history Just a friend brought you here for free To catch onto someone else’s team Hard enough to try and just be seen All I want is to know somebody Can you get out of you mind Well wish I could sometimes But you should try to find out How to talk tonight Bored endlessly around the scenery I put on a face to make someone believe that there is more than what I just may seem I need some time to show what it means Anxiety is hard enough for me But I talk to you it feels like I'm free Find a place just for you and me So I feel like I know somebody Can you get out of you mind Well wish I could sometimes But you should try to find out How to talk tonight
4.
Hand in Hand 02:58
In the pines and a southern sky Caught by the flicker in your eye You said there’s something I could try to see all the stars up in the sky Under the fan and the ceiling light You swore to me that it’d be alright go to somewhere ya liked to be Hand in hand you'll come with me
5.
Secret Towns 05:28
I was on the way to where my friends go By the houses and glowing street lights Echoes of the woods in dark blue A meeting place for just those few Well we made some time in secret towns Away from the main crowd In one place that felt true I’m still there right with you by the front door I made my way in To see the faces waiting to begin Old friends and new ones too Under a suburban moon Well we made some time in secret towns Away from the main crowd In one place that felt true I’m still there right with you
6.
Can you take my hand And walk with me In a world of our own It’s so quiet it seems Are we so far away from there Just you and me You and me there's someone Who’s waiting on you But for the moment can we just be Because I can’t tell Where the streets and the sky Start and end Start and end
7.
Suburban Fog 04:51
Are still we still up awake? Guilty crime kept us awake Is there a line I can say To make it seem like it was ok Where was I In the fog and light Looking through Empty streets I can’t tell Where you are tonight Did you fade into Some other dream How far is some grace? Did I Intrude in your display Is there something I should say Is it hard for you to stay
8.
We had hidden smiles blooming Underneath the dark While there is time. We can stay tonight Below the sky. We felt the static air. til it dissipates I just wanna stay here for a whileeeeeeee I don’t care what’s waiting. You and I can slide away Find our way into The dark corner of the room I’ll hold your arms Before the morning light When there’s no sign of the way we got lost in the time In the small hours we're burning all our needs Among the crowd Caught inside our eyes We feel the same In a lonely place Only here to be Fading lovers reaching in the dark I don’t care what’s waiting. You and I can slide away Find our way into The dark corner of the room I’ll hold your arms Before the morning light When there’s no sign of the way we got lost in the time I don’t care what’s waiting. You and I can slide away Find our way into The dark corner of the room I’ll hold your arms Before the morning light When there’s no sign of the way we got lost in the time
9.
Together 04:33
If you want to see What the night could be We still got time somewhere To figure what it means And I live in a dream When your here with me But I know I’m losing The place you leave with me But we’re together in scene And I will stay if you do Before the time takes us away Stay in the room with me But eventually Time follows these streets And you whisper to me Upstairs we’ll let it be And when you drift from me Into another stream We’ll know us from somewhere And how it used to be But we’re together in scene And I will stay if you do Before the time takes us away Stay in the room with me
10.
Nightlights 06:49
There’s not much left to say Now you’re on the way But you looked so confused You didn’t know what to do The light of day Gave it all away Was their more to say Did I say too much anyway We won’t be the same Leaving out of the scene But before you leave Leave a nightlight on for me

about

The debut album from Atlanta band Secret Towns, Nightlights is a 10 song collection of guitar-pop with ambient post-punk elements, echoing a nocturnal psychedelic sound. Recalling endless suburban nights, it tells a story of ever escaping moments from the past and present. From the excitement of the potential time ahead to the morning after. Inspired by a formative period of young adult malaise from guitarist Luke Thornton, he is joined by bassist Sam Pena and drummer Harry Dulaney. Produced by Damon Moon at Standard Electric Recorders co. with additional production and mixing by Deerhunter producer Ben Etter at Maze studio, Nightlights also features fellow Atlanta musicians Anna Griffith and Keron Robinson. Ultimately, Nightlights represents the idea of affection remaining with the people and places passing through time.
